By working together we can successfully challenge tyranny in our local communities
Belleville, ON (November 20, 2011) – In our modern day Canadian high-tech feudal age, individual rights, freedoms and liberties are being denied, ignored and eradicated by out of control agents, servants and sub-delegates within Canada’s government, quasi-government and non-government corporations....[full story]

Children drink the same amount of soda regardless of whether or not it is available at school
Some school districts across the country have been trying to curb consumption of soda and other sugary beverages among their students by banning access to these products on school property. But a new study out of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) suggests that these efforts might be largely fruitless because children, who attend soda-free schools, end up consuming the same amount of soda elsewhere....[full story]

Trickle-down tyranny - why ordinary people in positions of power are adopting tactics of tyrants
When I read a story yesterday about an 89-year-old woman being water-boarded by nursing home staff over an argument about ice cream, I knew something terrible was amiss across the American landscape. Spontaneous acts of tyranny have been cropping up lately like cancer tumors: a food tyrant in Nevada raids a farm picnic and orders everyone to destroy their food; student protesters in California get pepper-sprayed by thuggish cops who clearly enjoy causing pain and suffering; and now nursing home staffers torture their own resident using techniques borrowed from Guantanamo Bay....[full story]

Maine officials violate local food freedom ordinance by suing man for selling raw milk from farm
In response to the escalating food tyranny against American farmers by state and federal officials, the town of Blue Hill, Maine, passed a local ordinance back in April that asserted the right of its citizens to grow, sell, buy, and consume the food of their choice. But state officials in Maine apparently have no regard for Blue Hill's sovereignty law, and are now suing a local Blue Hill resident for selling food and raw milk from his farm without an official state license....[full story]

Mindfullness mediation quiets the mind and leads to inner peace
Just beyond the chaos that frequently engulfs your day is a stretch of time. It is not a particularly long stretch of time, but what is there can offer a veritable garden of peace; quiet and bright; and full of potential if you choose to use it. This garden can be accessed through what is called "mindfulness meditation." All that is required is a still body, using a trained mind to focus on what is rather than what was or what will be....[full story]

Vitamins Decrease Lung Cancer Risk by 50%
A recent study [1] of the effect of B vitamins on a large group of participants reported an inverse relationship between blood serum levels of vitamin B6, methionine, and folate and the risk of lung cancer. High serum levels of vitamin B6, methionine and folate were associated with a 50% or greater reduction in lung cancer risk. This exciting finding has not been widely reported in the media, but it confirms a growing body of evidence gathered over the last 40 years that B vitamins are important for preventing diseases such as cancer....[full story]

Supreme Court Justice Breyer warns of 'Orwellian' government
There's an old saying used by serial conspiracy theorists who get a little tired of being told they're crazy: "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean someone's not out to get you!" That said, it's no secret among politicos and administration watchers that political nemeses of President Barack Obama have warned early and often during his tenure that he is a borderline dictator and hell bent on trashing the Constitution....[full story]

HOW DO YOU GATHER AND SHARE NEWS?
We must live in the world, said Jesus, but not be of the world. DO WE NEED YEAR-ROUND PUBLIC SCHOOL?
Call it what you will. I call it old fashioned evil and communism. The FDA and other controlling organizations are on a roll to create invented crisis, hiding behind contrived safety issues with our farmers and food supply. The bottom line is most clear. The Marxist-Communists in control, Obama and his handlers want to control what we eat, when we eat, what we grow and how we grow it....[full story]
