Roundup, GMOs linked to emergence of deadly new pathogen causing spontaneous abortions among animals
-
In a shocking warning letter to USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack, a
highly experienced, ex-military pathogen researcher warns that the use of
Roundup via GMO crops is resulting in the emergence of a deadly new pathogen --
previously unknown to science -- that's causing widespread spontaneous
abortions among cattle. The pathogen appears in high concentrations among
even non-GMO crops that are "managed" through the use of glyphosate
(Roundup) for weed control....[full story]

Teens need help with drugs, not scare tactics
-
Nathaniel Koutsostavros had a rough adolescence. An absent father and a
bipolar grandmother created a tough life at home, while weight issues and
depression made high school painful.
At 17, he turned to drugs and soon spiralled out of control, often spending
$300 a day on cocaine. Looking back, many of those days remain a blur, but the Toronto native does
remember the prevention programs that tried to stop him from what he had
become, and how they didn't seem to work....[full story]

Omega-3s Linked to Less Age-Related Vision Loss
-
Women who get lots of omega-3 fatty acids are less
likely to develop age-related macular
degeneration (AMD), an eye disease affecting millions of older adults in
the U.S.
That's the conclusion of a new study, which jibes
with earlier research linking fish consumption to slower progression of AMD.
Fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as DHA and EPA include salmon, trout,
sardines, herring and tuna....[full story]

HHS warns that all infant formulas are contaminated with toxic fluoride
-
Piggybacking on the recent government announcement concerning
overexposure to fluoride, the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
has now announced that all infant formulas are contaminated with fluoride, and
that when mixed with the fluoridated water provided in most US cities, the combination is a
toxic threat to babies and infants....[full story]

Fukushima nuclear catastrophe forces world to rethink future of nuclear power
-
With one massive lurch, planet Earth has put an end to the
nuclear power "renaissance" that was gaining momentum around the
world as a safe, clean energy source. For the last few decades, nuclear power
looked quite good compared to the dirty coal industry which fuels most of the
world's power plants. Except for the Chernobyl
accident which was considered an aberration stemming from truly moronic nuclear
plant design (no containment structure? Who cares!), the nuclear power industry
had a relatively clean safety record. Even the famous Three
Mile Island incident seemed tiny in the current scope of world
events.

Health Canada Bureaucrats are a serious Health Hazard to Canadians – Part 1
-
Since the mid 1970s, I have been
dealing with the nonsense from Health Canada’s bureaucracy, its agents,
servants and sub-delegates. My
professional practice deals with this nonsense everyday year in and year
out. Its purpose is to protect
individuals and small family enterprises from out-of-control bureaucrats within
the Health Canada bureaucracy....[full story]

Nearly all drug trials scientifically invalid due to influence of the mind; Big Pharma science dissolves into wishful thinking
-
A new study in Science Translational Medicine has cast
doubt over the scientific validity of nearly all randomized, double-blind
placebo controlled studies involving pharmaceuticals used on human beings. It
turns out that many pharmaceuticals only work because people expect them to,
not because they have any "real" chemical effect on the body. As
you'll see here, when test subjects were told that they were not receiving
painkiller medications -- even though they were -- the medication proved to be completely worthless....[full story]

U.S. dietary guidelines: toss calorie counter
-
After more than a half century of counting
calories, experts are advising dieters to ditch the numbers game and take a
more holistic approach to losing weight.
Tom Vilsack, the U.S. secretary of agriculture,
signaled a major change in mind-set last month while unveiling the country's
new dietary guidelines. "Not all calories are created equally," he
said....[full story]

Stress: good or bad? In your control or out of your control? by Jane Goldberg
-
As a psychoanalyst who has specialized in working with cancer
patients, I hear the word "stress" frequently. When a new cancer
patient comes into my office, I will generally ask the person why they think
they have cancer. Some patients are puzzled by the question, and say that they
don't know. But a fair number of them will speculate, and many of them will use
the word "stress" to describe emotional situations that they had felt
themselves to be in some time before the cancer diagnosis. They describe their
situation as untenable- an emotional "dead end" that they couldn't
find their way out of. One of my cancer patients stated that getting cancer was
"the only way out" for her because her life had become intolerably
"stressful."...[full story]

Don't let a doctor destroy your baby's hearing
-
As about
2% of babies born in the United
States do, Alex Resnick failed the routine
newborn hearing screening he received before he left the hospital. At first
his parents didn't think much of it, since the nurse told them further
testing often shows the baby is fine. But six weeks later when those
additional tests showed Alex had moderate to severe hearing loss, his
mother's heart sank....[full story]

CHEMIST SHOWS HOW YOUR HEALTH IS BEING SABOTAGED
-
As a medicinal chemist, I ignored
my suspicion that an insidious and deliberate effort to get each and every
American hooked on drugs, while at the same time bankrupting them, existed
between Big Pharma and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). I enjoyed my
work. Drug design paid well and kept me comfortably isolated in a high-tech
lab, fully equipped to help me bend and twist matter at will. The last thing I
wanted to think of was a plot designed to sabotage health and wealth using my
chemistry skills. But over time, experience confirmed my suspicion as fact and
revealed something even scarier....[full story]
